Spring 2008
Spring has sprung and I am happy to welcome you all to a new issue of Joie de Vivre.
With Easter (and its attendant chocolate and bunnies and Cadbury Mini-Eggs) behind us, we turn our gaze to cherry blossoms and tulips and new green buds on the trees. Spring is a time of renewal and rebirth, and in this month’s selections, I think you’ll find joy enough for anyone. Natalie Kardum continues her tale of a woman set to move to a different country; Sarah Groundwater basks in the glow of pink leaves; Cynnamon Schreinert shares links and life-lessons when it comes to the art of spring cleaning; Sarah Groundwater is surprised by her own creations.
Also this issue we have a new Booze and a Book selection, and poetry from residents Helenna Santos, Elizabeth Hillen, and yours truly. We are also pleased to welcome a couple of newcomers: Eddie Menowick, haiku artist and Jessica Brunt with a hilarious tale of her father’s dedicated search for … hair.
Please enjoy the bounty of spring, and I look forward to seeing you in a couple of months for the debut of our summer fiction issue.
Enjoy!
